I do have a copy of the 832nd EAB unit history and I'm sure it has your grandfather's photo. It probably also has an introduction written by him. I won't be back home till Sunday but I'll check then.

At some point I'll be adding pages with the text of the unit history like I've started with some of the others but if you are interested in getting your own copy ... here is place that usually has a copy or two.

Either register here in the forum so I'll have your email address or just send me an email and I'll be able to respond to it.

In the meantime, take a look at this post and give some thought to doing a page for your grandfather.

David

I pulled my copy of the 832nd EAB history and looked through it. There is a message at the front written by Lt Col Alfred Curradi, CO of the 832nd EAB. I did find one photo in the history that shows the Battalion staff officers and I would assume your grandfather is in the photo. I think I can identify one as either a major or Lt Col so I would assume it is him. I'll scan both and let you know when they are posted.

I added a couple pages from the 832nd EAB Unit History. The first has the introductory letter written by Lt Col Alfred Curradi. The second has the staff officers from battalion HQ. If you'll let me know which one in the photo is your grandfather I'll get you an enlargment of that man. Sorry but that is the only photo of the CO.
