Hey guys,
I just spoke with my father who will be with me the week of July 19th. I will post all info he gives me including photos he brings.I know he started his basic in Westover Mass. and wound up in Newberry England Glider base. I am located in N.Y and he is coming up from Florida.

Hey Joe,

I'd love to hear anything he remembers about his time in England, especially at Boxford/ Sole Camp, near Newbury, to help with my research of it and related sites.

I've also got the unit history, so i'll have a dig through it for any mentions.

Jim.

Jim,
Any information you can provide on the 878th would be greatly appreciated. My dad was a corporal in that unit - William M. Murphy. I have a few photos of him and some of the other guys in front of their glider. Email me at dmurphy@megalink.net if you'd like me to send them to you.
Dave
